Just for fun, I downloaded the GOTY version from Steam, and the newish Deus Ex: Revision mod. It loaded up a new game, then crashed after a few seconds. Error screenshot attached.

Re: Add ESXi Host to VCenter but the Host is shown as (disconnected)
So one issue that I didn't realize is that we had VCenter Appliance on a VMWare Server that I'm trying to add. The VMWare host which was not connected to the hosts in our DataCenter on VCenter Appliance IS itself running the VCenter Appliance. So basically VCenter Appliance Runs on ServerA as a VM -> Add Host (ServerA) to VCenter Appliance shows disconnected. I didn't set this up so not sure why this was done this way but not sure if you can add a HOst that is Hosting the VCenter Appliance.

Re: About host memory - does maxing = crashing?
The memory between vms is definitely well shared meaning, we never see any spikes to the point where many vms use up all of the memory. Some have more than others meaning that if they all used it up, I'd have a problem but that never seems to happen since I try to balance what the vms are and do.
So basically, it sounds like we're fine and I now have a better understanding of memory use.

On further testing, it runs OK with the game's OpenGL shaders, but too dark to play. Crashes if you try the DX9 shader.

One thing I'll say is that the vSphere Design book by Scott Lowe feels like reading a history lesson. I'm three chapters in and at least half of it is made irrelevant due to dated references to vSphere 5.1. It's quite amazing how different 6.x is compared to 5.1. Discussions about whether to use SQL databases or the Windows vCenter take on a whole different context with 6.x than it did with 5.x and so do many other things. I'm going to continue on with this book for now but I wish I had gone with VMware vSphere 6.x Datacenter Design Cookbook instead

Not a problem, I know how it is.
But no, I did reboot. Had to reboot twice because for some reason Avast did not keep the boxes unchecked when I rebooted first time. But have checked after second reboot and the checkboxes are unchecked.

Well in a situation that VMs 'all used it up' it will start using the methods briefly described in my last comment with preference of the least impactful.
So to that end - ensure VMs at least have a recent version of VMware Tools installed (so it can use ballooning which is vastly preferable over swapping to disk) and only have memory reservation of reasonable amounts on critical VMs (using Resource Pools and shares is preferable to reservations, though this require Enterprise or Enterprise+ licensing iirc).

VCD does not have a easy way to force items by OS to a specific cluster. Really two options seem to be used most the time for this.
1. Setup dedicated storage and storage policies so that selecting a storage policy will drive cluster placement.
2. Create separate Provider VDC for each licencing type that is needed.
Both work but have limitations. We have asked many times (and would love others to jump in on asking VMware) to add ability to intercept placement routine via AMQP blocking task model and allow override of placement for this and similar reasons)

Is the debug log from a user and computer on which that particular GPO was applied? I'm asking since there should be a Redirected folders: Desktop, Favorites, Personal log message due to those folders having been redirected.
Would it be possible to test whether the issue also occurs if you remove those folder redirection settings from the GPO (but leave the UEM-related settings intact)?
Also, when I visit the Font Awesome Icons site (from a v1607 x64 machine with UEM 9.2), the icons from the web font show up correctly. I've also tried with folder redirection (configured through UEM instead of GPO, though), and then it also works just fine. Can you reproduce the issue by visiting that site?
(And although I can't imagine it is related to this particular issue: Windows 10 v1607 is officially supported starting with UEM 9.1. Also, I don't think Horizon 6.2.1 is supported on v1607. Again, not relevant for the font issue, but just something to be aware of in general.)

Hi,
I forgot to mention that I've removed the folder redirection and just left the UEM settings as shown in the screen shot from the previous message; however, it still didn't work. I'm also using Horizon View 7 with windows 10 1607 build.
One thing that I noticed is that if i remove the user's profile and reboot the computer, upon login i am able to see the font-icons properly but after a few minutes it stops working and the font-images are blank. Is it possible to wait a few minutes and try visiting the site again to see if you're still able to see the font icons ? Also, is your computer that you are testing on up to date with the latest updates? A few months ago this wasn't an issue and I'm now thinking that maybe one of the security updates may be the culprit.

Re: vSphere 5.5 does not show any information of VMs on Virtual machines tab.
Currently we are using free license for ESXi host. Can we upgrade to standard version without any license require? On page download free license of VMware, version 5.5 Update 3b is not available.
